Ever heard about Bukit Hijau??
It's located at Kedah state, takes about 1 hour from Butterworth.
To get there, If you are travelling from Penang, take the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway. Then follow the roadsign pointing to Baling. Eventually you will see the brown signboard for Hutan Lipur Bukit Hijau. Alternatively, if you're on the North-South Expressway, you can also exit at Sungai Petani South (Exit 168). Drive through Sungai Petani town, and then take the right turn into Route 67 towards Kuala Ketil. After Kuala Ketil, be on the look out for the Hutan Lipur Bukit Hijau sign on the right side of the road. [ Source from internet ]
Wonder how does it look like??
Can you believe this??
Well, it's not Bukit Hijau. It was just a random pic which I took along the North-South highway, an ironic comparison I would like to apply at here so that anyone or whoever reading this to be aware of the importances to conserve the environment.
I'm sure you wouldn't want to see this in the future.
So, GO GREEN now!!
The actual Bukit Hijau is like the following.
It has variable landscapes with gushing river flowing along Sungai Mempelam, insanely beautiful waterfalls and forest canopy-a great place for photography.
It is also a famous place for picnicking. People take bath in the refreshing water there.
There are cement walkway and steps under the coverage of the forest canopy which you can take all the way to the waterfalls.
The last waterfall located at the top of the forest is the most remarkable sight.
There were several maidens enjoying the shower by the splashing waterfall.
Some nice nature creatures captured along the journey:
We were delighted with the magical sight at Bukit Hijau.
If you are a nature lover, then you're at the right place.
This was a fruitful sightseeing trip. Do visit there to get close to the nature. =)
